About us
The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine values community and engagement. Initially in 2015, the Office of Community Engagement Council (OCEC) included a few ambitious residents and faculty with a vision and has since expanded to now include faculty, trainees, and staff throughout the department. The goal of OCEC is to create a functional unit that will identify and cultivate the skills necessary to provide mentorship, create scholarly and leadership opportunities and prepare faculty, staff, residents, and fellows to address the health needs of a diverse population. Through its various programs and initiatives, OCE continues to make a significant impact on the department and the broader community it serves.
